Acrylic Coating (Optional )
Acrylic-coated galvalume steel features a thin, transparent acrylic layer applied to the surface to protect against fingerprints during handling, forming, and installation. This coating is non-paintable and designed for exposed applications only.
It allows for dry roll forming without lubrication and enables smooth processing on roll forming machines without frequent cleaning of the tooling. This makes it ideal for efficient, clean, and consistent production.

Acrylic Coating (Optional )
At Hengze Steel, we primarily supply Galvalume steel coils with coating weights of AZ150, AZ165, and AZ50 equivalent. These designations represent high-performance aluminum-zinc alloy coatings designed to deliver outstanding corrosion resistance and durability.
AZ150 (150 g/m²) complies with EN 10346 standards
AZ165 (165 g/m²) corresponds to AZ55 under ASTM A792
AZ150 is functionally equivalent to AZ50 under ASTM A792 (≈150 g/m²)
These coatings consist of approximately 55% aluminum, 45% zinc, offering superior performance over traditional galvanized coatings in long-term exposure environments.
We also offer customized lower AZ coating weights based on specific project or cost requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions
The price of Galvalume Steel Coil varies depending on the coating weight (AZ50, AZ150, etc.), base steel grade, thickness, and market conditions. As of now, global prices typically range from $700 to $1,000 per metric ton (FOB). Please contact Hengze Steel directly for an updated quotation tailored to your specification and destination.
Galvalume Steel Coil offers superior corrosion resistance, high heat reflectivity, and excellent formability due to its aluminum-zinc alloy coating (typically 55% Al, 43.4% Zn, and 1.6% Si). It lasts 2–6 times longer than traditional galvanized steel in outdoor environments, making it ideal for roofing, wall panels, and structural components.
Galvalume coils are widely used in:
Architectural roofing and cladding
Pre-engineered buildings (PEB)
Automotive parts
Appliances and HVAC ducts
Agricultural sheds and silos
Its durability and anti-rust characteristics make it a trusted material for both residential and industrial applications.
Galvalume has an aluminum-zinc alloy coating, whereas galvanized steel uses a pure zinc coating. Galvalume offers better corrosion resistance, especially in marine and high-moisture areas, and has a longer lifespan. However, galvanized steel may perform better in cut-edge protection and high-impact applications.
Hengze’s Galvalume Steel Coils comply with:
ASTM A792 (AZ50, AZ55)
JIS G3321 (SGLCC, SGLC400)
EN 10346 (DX51D+AZ, S550GD+AZ)
These standards ensure coating weight accuracy, mechanical performance, and product reliability across different markets.
