Frequently Asked Questions
PPGI is galvanized steel coil coated with organic paint through a continuous coil-coating process. It combines zinc-based corrosion protection with decorative and protective paint layers for various industrial applications.
PPGI is produced through surface cleaning, chemical pretreatment, priming, topcoat application, and oven curing. The continuous coil-coating process ensures consistent coating quality, color, and surface finish.
Common PPGI coating systems include PE (Polyester), SMP (Silicone Modified Polyester), HDP (High-Durability Polyester), and PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride). They differ in weather resistance, UV resistance, flexibility, and durability.
PE offers economical general-purpose protection, SMP improves weathering performance, HDP provides enhanced durability, and PVDF offers excellent weather and UV resistance for demanding exterior applications.
Common standards include ASTM A755/A755M, EN 10169, and JIS G 3312. These standards cover prepainted steel requirements, including coating performance, appearance, and product specifications.
